What’s a microboard? A Free Webinar
May 1 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm AEST
An event every month that begins at 7:00pm on day First of the month, repeating until December 4, 2018
Do you wonder what will happen to your child with a disability when you can no longer support them? A microboard may be what you are looking for.
A microboard is a network of trusted people who love and support a person with a disability even when parents no longer can. This network has a formalised legal structure called an incorporated association.
In this session we will provide you with an introduction on how to gather people, form and operate a microboard. You will hear stories from families we have worked with and how their microboards are helping their family member to live a good life. Sheree will also outline the Microboard Development program that Microboards Australia offers.
Microboards Australia is the only organisation in Australia that is endorsed by Vela Microboards to support microboard development. Vela Microboards is the organisation that founded Microboards over 30 years ago in Canada.
At the end of the presentation you will be able to post questions for Sheree and she will answer them for you.
